Today was like one of those sad days in the NFL...the roster had to be cut down to 53 people..let me remind u that coming into camp, every team must have 80 peple on the roster, so there are 32 teams with 80 ppl on the team..(2560 players) and by the 3rd pre-season game every team must release 5 players..so at this point every team has 75 players on the team...(2400 players) 160 have been released on the 1st cut...and after the last pre-season game the roster must be cut down to 53 players! so 22 players from each team will be released...thats 704 people! 704 people will be unemployed on saturday aug. 30... So out of 2560 people from all over the world only 1696 make it! Thats why I don't take any of this 4 granted! I stay humble and just keep working hard!....But I have to give the NFL credit, they created something for 4 players called the practice squad..this is for the players that didnt make the 53 man roster. (the 53 ppl are the ppl who actually play in the games.) But the practice squad, u are only allowed to practice...u r a part of the team but some benefits are a little different...such as the pay : (..but I used to be on the practice squad in SF, so I know how it feels to grind hard for something! thats why I feel like, " Ima ride this train until the wheels fall off!"
