I wanted to update everyone on the Rising Stars Foundation and what I've been doing lately.

 

I did a speaking engagement at the University of Delaware (football team) before they went to the National championship in 07'... I spoke at my old high school (Passaic County Tech football team 07') I also spoke @ the Super Bowl Friday, February 1, 2008 @ AAD Youth Program for 1500 - 2000 youth participants...Then I just recently spoke to a group of about 80 young men at a youth correctional facility in Delaware on April 2, 2008... Then I spoke to another group of young men that are in a Group Home located in paterson, NJ on April 22, 2008....
 

I have a foundation called the Rising Stars Foundation..It is ran by myself and my  Brother Gerald Hayes of the Arizona Cardinals we are going into our 2nd year...

 

We also have a little league football team from age 9-14..they are the Silk City Cardinals..Also sponsored by Gerald and I...

 

On March 4, 2008 the Murphy Boys and Rising Stars Foundation came together and had a dinner that raised $15,000 for the youth in Paterson..The Goal is to have a Rec Center for our youth in Paterson eventually....

 

On June 20-22, 2008 That will be the official Rising Stars weekend! it will start off with a Celeb Bowling tourney (different NFL players from different teams will be there!) On Saturday, June 21st there will be a Free camp for the youth from ages 9- 13... and on Sunday 22nd that will be the Rising Stars reunion...everyone from my high school that played football from 1990-2004 will be there! we will have highlight tapes for sale and memorabilia..

 

I also had a softball game honoring my mother on mothers day weekend on may 10th...
